Christmas Oratorio, Parts 4, 5, and 6 (Allentown Concert)
Written in 1723 and 1724 and first performed in its entirety in the Christmas season of 1734-1735, Bach composed his Christmas Oratorio while living in Leipzig. The Bel Canto Youth Chorus Winter Concert
The Bel Canto Youth Chorus winter concert, "Hope for the World" features the Da Capo Treble Choir, Youth Chorale, and Concert Choir. The program includes an array of musical styles, from Bach and Mozart to traditional American and Celtic "mouth music." Echoing the traditions of the Bach Choir, we invite the audience to help conclude our performance with carol singing.
