World Premiere Performance Live CD Recording: Mendelssohn’s Interpretation of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion

The Bach Choir of Bethlehem proudly announces the  release of the live CD recording from the world premiere performance of Mendelssohn’s rendition of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, held on November 4th, 2023. This recording will be available for purchase on March 22nd. The live CD recording adds another milestone to the list of important “firsts” in the history of America’s first Bach Choir and is also a significant “first” in the world of classical music. This album marks the culmination of more than 5 years of dedicated research by internationally acclaimed musicologist, Malcolm Bruno, who has edited major publications and reconstructions and produced numerous CD recordings for major labels specializing in baroque and choral repertoire.

The score of this new edition has just been published by Bärenreiter, a renowned classical music publisher globally recognized for its excellence.
