Thanks to everyone who attended today’s Bach at Noon. We had another full audience, and were treated to an exceptionally wonderful performance of the Beethoven Cello Sonata by Greg Funfgeld and Loretta O’Sullivan. Everyone I spoke with on the way out was very impressed with the sonata, and with the playing of our Principal Cellist and Artistic Director – two individuals we know for their revelatory playing of Bach. It was gratifying to hear them bring Beethoven to life. It was also a pleasure to hear the work of our fine soloists, Rosa Lamoreaux, Barbara Hollinshead and Greg Oaten, as well as the excellent oboe playing of Mary Watt and Nobuo Kitagawa. We hope to see everyone again in just under two weeks’ time for our spring concert, and again for April’s Bach at Noon, on Tuesday, April 12th.
