Join us from wherever you are as we live-stream this concert on Saturday, May 13. Dr. Christopher Jackson conducts The Choir, Bach Festival Orchestra and soloists at our 115th Bethlehem Bach Festival – his first as our Artistic Director and Conductor. The Mass is our treasured tradition, attended and warmly received by thousands of people from around the country and around the world since the American premiere of Bach’s monumental Mass at the very first Bethlehem Bach Festival in 1900.
Welcome to our virtual events troubleshooting support page! Below you will find answers to many frequently asked questions about our streaming platform. We use Patron Manager to give you access to livestream events or previously recorded material for a designated period of viewing.
FAQ’s about viewing Bach’s Mass in B Minor, from The Bach Choir of Bethlehem
How do I access my virtual event?
Once you have made your purchase, you will receive a Ticket Confirmation email with instructions on how to watch. The email will contain a custom ticket link for your viewing on the device of your choosing. Each ticket purchased allows you to access your content on one device at a time.

Which devices can I use to stream?
Your experience is largely determined by your internet connection, not necessarily your device. The Patron Manager platform automatically provides optimized versions of the content for different devices and connection speeds, in real time. So, as long as you can access the internet with a strong connection, most mobile phones, tablets, laptops and computers are suitable.
Can I watch the video on my TV?
We’d love for you to cast the performance to your big screen! While the platform does not support functionality like Smart TV or Apple TV, it does work with Chromecast on Android (casting the entire browser tab) and Apple Airplay. Patrons who can access their email via their Smart TV should also be able to click their ticket link and open it in a browser on their TV that way.
Unfortunately, with so many variations of Smart TVs and Smart TV software, we aren’t able to provide additional troubleshooting for this type of hardware.
The easiest option is to use Chrome Casting, AirPlay or screen mirroring to play the stream from your phone, laptop or other device to your TV. You might see a slight decrease in quality with this option. You can also use an HDMI cable to connect your computer to the TV.
If your TV can access a web browser, you can open that browser and log into your email. From there, you can open the email we sent you and click on your link to stream. If you have trouble streaming on an older TV, you may have better luck switching to an alternate device.

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number and variations of smart TVs and smart TV software, we aren’t able to troubleshoot individual hardware issues.
What’s the ideal browser to use?
Most modern desktop and mobile browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, are compatible with Patron Manager Virtual Events.
The following browsers are officially supported:
- Chrome for Android 34+
- Chrome for Desktop 34+
- Firefox for Android 41+
- Firefox for Desktop 42+
- Edge for Windows 10+
- Safari for Mac 8+ (beta)
How can I ensure the best streaming experience?
For performance time, if you’re experiencing issues, a first step might be to turn the wi-fi off on your other devices. Or, for the strongest connection, connect your device to your router directly with an ethernet cable.
Can I watch the performance again after it’s over?
Your On-Demand ticket will be sent to your email 24 hours following the concert and you will have access to view the recorded version of the live performance until Saturday, December 31st.
Having trouble viewing right now? Try these six steps to fix your stream:
- Try refreshing your browser. Don’t forget to click the play button after it reloads.
- Try switching to a different browser.
- Try using the browser under ‘incognito/private’ mode.
- Try disabling an ad-blocking software or browser plugins
- Try a different device.
- Go to speedtest.net and test your internet bandwidth. You’ll want at least 2Mbps to view the video.
For support during livestream, please contact the Box Office at office@bach.org. Expect an email with next steps.
