Event Navigation
Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard will once again host The Bach Choir of Bethlehem for an evening of music this summer. This seventh annual summer salon will be a benefit event for the acclaimed Bach Choir of Bethlehem, and begin at 6:30 pm on Saturday, July 21.
The Winery and adjacent vineyards provides a unique setting for the evening’s festivities. The Bach Choir of Bethlehem and the Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard will collaborate to offer guests a flavorful palate of music and wine. Concert tickets are $60/guest. A variety of wine will be offered along with hors d’oeuvres served during the Intermezzo.
This year’s enigmatic Salon, titled “Bach Masquerade: A Night of Music and Mystery,” will offer repertoire that includes STARS – by Eriks Esenvalds; poem by Sara Teasdale – arranged for choir and tuned glasses. The Choir will revisit composer Morten Lauridsen and offer SURE ON THIS SHINING NIGHT. The program will also include selections from Bach and Haydn.
This year, soprano Laurie Heimes joins the Salon for the first time. Praised for her “sparkle and humor, radiance and magnetism” and hailed for “a voice equally velvety up and down the registers”, Ms. Heimes is widely regarded as an artist of great versatility, with repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century.
