April 2021 – rehearsal at The Ice House Bethlehem, PA
Tuition is tiered to reflect the amount of contact time choristers have with our excellent directors. Flexible payment options are available according to the needs of the family. These options include:
- Lump sum payment
- 2 payments: beginning/midseason
- Monthly payments
For monthly payments, the balance after the initial $200 payment is divided into monthly installments. We can accept payment by check, credit card, or by monthly automatic bank withdrawal. If the families choose monthly bank withdrawal, we will ask you to fill out an EFT (electronic fund transfer) form with a copy of a voided check.
Limited tuition assistance is available.

Uniforms
All choristers are required to purchase one burgundy polo with the Bel Canto logo. You may refer to the Size chart on the Concert Uniform page of the parent website. Various sizes of the polo shirt will be available at camp to insure the best fit.
For concert choir uniforms, options for concert black attire are listed in the Parent Handbook.
Parent Auxiliary "Fair Share" Fundraising Program
The Parent Auxiliary is a group of Bel Canto parent volunteers that organize fundraisers from items to events. Tuition covers 37% of our program and operational expenses. While we are generously supported with foundation grants, corporate sponsors, and other fundraising activities of The Bach Choir of Bethlehem, The “Fair Share” meets an annual monetary goal to support all the fundraising efforts by the organization.
Each chorister has an ALLOTMENT account.
The FAIR SHARE for the 2021-22 season is $150 in the Concert Choir and $125 in the Preparatory/Intermediate choirs. This fee can be paid in fundraising allotments (by March 1, 2023) or a direct “fair share” payment. The “Fair Share” will be acknowledged as a donation to the organization.
For choristers who want to travel, all fundraising above the annual Fair Share Donation amount will accrue in their individual ALLOTMENT account. All ALLOTMENTS (direct payments and fundraising) are credited to this account. The account accrues until the chorister applies their available funds to a Bel Canto travel experience.
We rely on families to support all of our fundraising activities. We offer the option for families to opt-out of itemized fundraising by paying the “fair share” of The Parent Auxiliary Fundraising Program.
Payment Schedule
Upon placement, every chorister is required to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure their spot for the coming season. The remaining tuition is payable by one of three methods:
- One payment, due at the beginning of the first rehearsal after Labor Day
- Two payments, due at the beginning of the first rehearsal after Labor Day and the first rehearsal after the New Year
- Seven payments, due on the 20th of each month (September to April; skipping December)
Credit Card payments toward Bel Canto Tuition and Fees can be made by contacting the administrator’s office at 610-866-4382 x116.
All checks must be written to “The Bach Choir of Bethlehem”
