This year, the Bach Choir of Bethlehem begins its 127th season – and my fourth has Artistic Director and Conductor. I remember so clearly my audition for this remarkable position. Amid the intensity of that experience, what stayed with me most was the unexpected feeling that I had come home. Or rather, that this extraordinary organization already is a home – musically, spiritually – and feels like a family for so many people. It was exactly what I had been searching for.
This season, we celebrate that sense of home by returning to our roots through music tied to our Moravian beginnings and Bach’s most beloved works. Wherever you’re joining us from – whether you’ve been coming for years or are finding us for the first time – I hope this season brings you home as well.
I can’t wait to share this season with you. Welcome home.
Christopher Jackson, Artistic Director & Conductor
