Hear members of the Bach Choir and Bach Festival Orchestra along with exciting guest artists. Enjoy insightful and enlightening remarks by Christopher Jackson, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Bach Choir. The October Bach at Noon is supported in part by a generous endowment gift from Mrs. Cornelius Ayer Wood Jr. in memory of The Rev. Cornelius Ayer Wood Jr., a member of the choir’s Board of Managers 1960-1977.
Please join us for a very exciting Bach@Noon where The Westminster Choir of Westminster Choir College will be our special guest artists for the day. Hear the Westminster Choir, Bach Orchestra, and nationally renowned soloists perform Bach’s Cantata 196, originally written to celebrate a wedding, titled “The Lord is mindful of us all”. The Westminster Choir will also be performing their own set of works utilizing Central Moravian Church’s historic organ, including multiple works by the renowned British choral composer and fellow Bach enthusiast, Herbert Howells! Come welcome our special guests with an enthusiastic reception and hear the next generation of choral artists!
