Hear members of the Bach Choir and Bach Festival Orchestra along with exciting guest artists. Enjoy insightful and enlightening remarks by Christopher Jackson, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Bach Choir. The February Bach at Noon concert is named “The John Daniel Family Memorial Concert” and is made possible in part by a generous endowment gift from John L. and Carol H. Daniel.
Highlighting this month’s program is Bach’s monumental Chaconne in D Minor for solo violin, plated by concertmaster Elizabeth Field. Joshua Bell, generational violin virtuoso, said that this piece is “not just one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, but one of the greatest achievements of any man in history. It’s a spiritually powerful piece, emotionally powerful, structurally perfect.”

Bach at Noon concerts are also broadcast twice per month on WDIY, the Bach Choir’s community partner in the Lehigh Valley. Concerts air on an episode of WDIY Classics, weekdays at 10 AM, and Hearing Voices, Sundays at 7 PM. Check WDIY’s website and social media pages for air dates. Listen on 88.1 FM, wdiy.org, or the WDIY app.
