SUMMARY:Family Concert - Youth Choirs Festival
DESCRIPTION:Gifted students from our region join The Bach Choir of Bethlehem and members of The Bach Festival Orchestra\, under the direction of Greg Funfgeld\, to present a program ranging from glorious Bach to works from 21st century composers.  This year’s youth choirs include:  Bel Canto Youth Chorus (Joy Hirokawa)\, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Touring Choir (David Macbeth)\, Emmaus High School Chorale  (Rita Cortez) and Parkland High School Chorale (Frank Anonia). \nThese 200 voices join together to offer an exquisite program of choral music. \nAmong the pieces being performed by the youth choirs:\nVienna Teng – The Hymn of Axciom\, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts Touring Choir\nFelix Mendelssohn – For He shall give His angels from Elijah\, Parkland Chorale\nJ.S. Bach – Duet from Cantata 93 Er kennt die rechten Freudenstunde\, The Bel Canto Youth Chorus\nRichard Burchard – Sitivit Anima Mea\, Emmaus High School Chorale \nCombined ~ The Bach Choir\, Orchestra members and Youth Choirs\nAn ensemble of voices will present:\nJ.S. Bach – Sanctus in D Major \nSome 200 voices will perform:\nGeorge Frideric Handel – Zadoc the Priest\nJ.S. Bach – Dona nobis pacem\nShawn Kirchner (arr.) – Unclouded Day\, Words and Music by Rev. J.K.
