SUMMARY:Christmas Oratorio\, Parts 4\, 5\, and 6 (Virtual | On-Demand Concert)
DESCRIPTION:Written in 1723 and 1724 and first performed in its entirety in the Christmas season of 1734-1735\, Bach composed his Christmas Oratorio while living in Leipzig. Almost 300 years later\, we’ll present Parts 4\, 5 and 6 to complete the Oratorio we began at last year’s Christmas concerts. \nJoin our live-streamed concert as we  continue our journey through the joyous Nativity story.  The Choir and soloists tell the story of the Epiphany and the visit of the three kings\, in powerful arias and tender chorales. As part of a beloved tradition\, we invite the audience to join The Choir in singing traditional carols at the conclusion of the concert. \nTo read more about the Oratorio\, please click here. \nTo view the digital program\, please click here. \n Join us virtually on December 11th\, 2022 at 4pm Eastern Standard Time for Bach’s Christmas Oratorio!\nVirtual tickets and viewing information to come.\nweeks-17-5days0-6hours-1-9minutes-3-7seconds-1-5\n\n  \nWelcome to our virtual events troubleshooting support page! Below you will find answers to many frequently asked questions about our streaming platform. We use Patron Manager to give you access to livestream events or previously recorded material for a designated period of viewing. \nFAQ’s about viewing Bach’s Christmas Oratorio\, from The Bach Choir of Bethlehem \nHow do I access my virtual event? \nOnce you have made your purchase\, you will receive a Ticket Confirmation email with instructions on how to watch. The email will contain a custom ticket link for your viewing on the device of your choosing. Each ticket purchased allows you to access your content on one device at a time. \nLooking for your e-mail confirmation? Double check your spam/junk folder! \nWhich devices can I use to stream? \nYour experience is largely determined by your internet connection\, not necessarily your device. The Patron Manager platform automatically provides optimized versions of the content for different devices and connection speeds\, in real time. So\, as long as you can access the internet with a strong connection\, most mobile phones\, tablets\, laptops and computers are suitable. \nCan I watch the video on my TV? \nWe’d love for you to cast the performance to your big screen!  While the platform does not support functionality like Smart TV or Apple TV\, it does work with Chromecast on Android (casting the entire browser tab) and Apple Airplay. Patrons who can access their email via their Smart TV should also be able to click their ticket link and open it in a browser on their TV that way. \nUnfortunately\, with so many variations of Smart TVs and Smart TV software\, we aren’t able to provide additional troubleshooting for this type of hardware. \nThe easiest option is to use Chrome Casting\, AirPlay or screen mirroring to play the stream from your phone\, laptop or other device to your TV. You might see a slight decrease in quality with this option. You can also use an HDMI cable to connect your computer to the TV. \nIf your TV can access a web browser\, you can open that browser and log into your email. From there\, you can open the email we sent you and click on your link to stream. If you have trouble streaming on an older TV\, you may have better luck switching to an alternate device. \nCLICK HERE for a list of steps for some common casting setups. \nUnfortunately\, due to the sheer number and variations of smart TVs and smart TV software\, we aren’t able to troubleshoot individual hardware issues. \nWhat’s the ideal browser to use? \nMost modern desktop and mobile browsers\, including Chrome\, Firefox\, Edge\, and Safari\, are compatible with Patron Manager Virtual Events. \nThe following browsers are officially supported: \n\nChrome for Android 34+\nChrome for Desktop 34+\nFirefox for Android 41+\nFirefox for Desktop 42+\nEdge for Windows 10+\nSafari for Mac 8+ (beta)\n\n  \nHow can I ensure the best streaming experience? \nFor performance time\, if you’re experiencing issues\, a first step might be to turn the wi-fi off on your other devices. Or\, for the strongest connection\, connect your device to your router directly with an ethernet cable. \nCan I watch the performance again after it’s over? \nYour On-Demand ticket will be sent to your email 24 hours following the concert and you will have access to view the recorded version of the live performance until Saturday\, December 31st. \nHaving trouble viewing right now? Try these six steps to fix your stream:\n\nTry refreshing your browser.  Don’t forget to click the play button after it reloads.\nTry switching to a different browser.\nTry using the browser under ‘incognito/private’ mode.\nTry disabling an ad-blocking software or browser plugins\nTry a different device.\nGo to speedtest.net and test your internet bandwidth.  You’ll want at least 2Mbps to view the video.\n\nFor support during livestream\, please contact the Box Office at office@bach.org. Expect an email with next steps.\nShare This:
