DESCRIPTION:Join us for a very special Bach at Noon on November 8th\, 2022. Our guests soloists will present a concert on period instruments\, conducted by  Artistic Director and Conductor\, Christopher Jackson.  \nDr. Jackson comes to us from Muhlenberg College\, where he served as the Director of Choral and Vocal Activities. He is also a member of Skylark Vocal Ensemble\, a professional choral ensemble where he serves as Director of Education\, and The Thirteen\, a Washington D.C. based choral ensemble. He was also the Conductor and Co-Founder of the Lycoming Baroque Choir and Orchestra where he conducted works by Bach and others. \n\nJoin us at Central Moravian! weeks-18-4days0-1hours0-3minutes-3-1seconds0-4\n  \n \nPlease note:  \n\nDoors open at 11:30 am | Concert  begins at 12:10 pm\n\nProgram: \nCLICK HERE for a complete program  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\nFlute Soloist:  WORLD FAMOUS\, Barthold Kuijken.  He is one of the founders of the early music revival. \nBarthold Kuijken is an eminent leader in the field of Early Music. A virtuoso traverso soloist\, teacher\, researcher\, and conductor\, he has shaped the fields of historical flutes and historically informed performance over the last 40 years. A Flemish native of Belgium\, Kuijken has performed and recorded most of the repertoire for the Baroque flute. He has collaborated with other early music specialists including his brothers\, Sigiswald Kuijken (violin) and Wieland Kuijken (cello and viola da gamba)\, Frans Brüggen\, and harpsichordist Gustav Leonhardt. Kuijken is the Artistic Director and conductor of the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra . He recently retired as Professor of Baroque Flute at the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and The Hague. In 2013\, Kuijken received the NFA Lifetime Achievement Award. \nSoprano Soloist:  Sherezade Panthaki \nSherezade is a frequent soloist with The Choir and an audience favorite.  She has had international success in music of the Baroque and beyond\, fueled by superbly honed musicianship; “astonishing coloratura\, with radiant top notes” (Calgary Herald); “a full luxuriously toned upper range” (Los Angeles Times)\, and passionately informed interpretations “mining deep emotion from the subtle shaping of the lines (New York Times.) \n  \n\nBWV 1013\, Partita in A Minor  – solo flute partita\nBWV 209\, Non sa che sia dolore  – cantata for soprano\, flute\, and strings\n\nThe orchestra for this concert will be one-per-part and playing on period instruments: \nElizabeth Field\, violin \nLinda Kistler\, violin\nNina Falk\, viola\nLoretta O’Sullivan\, cello\nHeather Miller Lardin\, double bass\nCharlotte Mattax Moersch\, harpsichord \nMY “THANK YOU” CONTRIBUTION \n\nShare This:
