He offered it with love\, in memory of his dear “Aunt Gertie” Balliet.  Will you join him in supporting this concert with your donation? \n\n“The ultimate human enterprise is to acknowledge the eternal and ineffable truth\, even when words alone fail. So\, beyond poetry and prose\, we are given the great ephemeral mystery of music\, and the more substantial and solid expressions of art and architecture\, with which to affirm that eternal and ineffable truth.\n\nAt a Bach at Noon concert\, at St. John’s in Allentown\, we have it all – poetry\, music\, art and architecture – and we have it in full abundance and at its very finest.”\n\nI’ll make a good will offering to the Choir! \nPlease mark your calendar!  A moment of pure beauty and joy in a tumultuous time; please tune in and enjoy this gift of spiritual and refreshment from The Bach Choir of Bethlehem. \nWHEN:  NOON on August 10\, 2021 – ONLINE \nWHERE and HOW: You can access the concert on The Bach Choir’s You Tube Channel\, or on our facebook page or watch the video on this page. \nView our program online HERE. \nProgram:  \nAntonio Vivaldi – Concerto in F Major\, RV 538 for two horns and strings\nAnthony Cecere and Karen Schubert\, French horns \nJohann Sebastian Bach – Aria from THE CHRISTMAS ORATORIO\, BWV 248\nNo. 8 – Grosser Herr\, o starker Konig\nDashon Burton\, bass-baritone | Robert Skoniczin\, trumpet \nJohannes Brahms – from FOUR SERIOUS SONGS\, Opus 121\nNo. 4 – Wenn ich mit Menschen\nDashon Burton\, bass-baritone \nGeorge Frederick Handel – Aria from MESSIAH\nNo. 48 – The Trumpet Shall Sound\nDashon Burton\, bass-baritone | Robert Skoniczin\, trumpet \nMEMBERS OF THE BACH FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA \nAnthony Cecere and Karen Schubert\, French horns; Rob Skoniczin\, trumpet;  Christine Moulton\, flute; Elizabeth Field and Rebecca Brown\, violins;  Uri Wassertzug\, viola;  Loretta O’Sullivan\, cello;  Dan McDougall\, string bass; Greg Funfgeld\, keyboards \nShare This:
